KINGSTON, R.I. (November 21, 2024) – Stonehill College opened the 2024 Harold Anderson Invitational, hosted by the University of Rhode Island, with a pair of relays at Tootell Aquatics Center tonight.

Stonehill placed 11
th in the 200-yard medley relay to open the weekend by clocking in at a season-best 1:47.90. Sophomore
Grace Idowu swam the opening backstroke leg in a season-best 27.55-seconds, before junior
Taylor Belanger followed with a 29.49-second split for the breaststroke leg, with senior
Sharlotte Lundell completing the butterfly leg in 26.07-seconds, before junior
Kristy Barry posted a 24.79-second freestyle anchor leg.
Barry also swam the lead leg for Stonehill's 800-yard freestyle relay that finished 13
th in 8:12.37. She posted a season-best 2:01.48 split for her 200-yard leg, followed by freshman
Chihiro Bringman for a 2:05.70 second leg and junior
Azia Koser finished the third leg in 2:04.73, before freshman
Maddie Gomez finished the anchor leg in 2:00.46.
Stonehill is in seventh place after the first day at the Harold Anderson Invitational with 30 points. Host University of Rhode Island leads the way after day one with 128 points, followed by the University of Vermont just six points behind at 122.0, and then College of the Holy Cross in third with 90 points.

- Stonehill's B relay in the 800-yard freestyle relay finished 15th in 8:28.81. Freshmen Lilith Peterson, Ava Stefanou, postgrad Katie Keating, and freshman Morgan Kukral swam the relay.
- Stonehill's C relay finished ahead of the Skyhawks B relay in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing 18th in 1:51.78 – a mere 0.16-seconds ahead of the B relay (1:51.94). Swimming for the C's were freshmen Sorina Cheng for the backstroke, Rena Gilligan for the breaststroke, Gomez for the butterfly and then Bringman for the freestyle anchor leg.
