EASTON, Mass. (November 4, 2025) – Junior forward
Kayla Cassidy of the Stonehill College women's soccer team has been named NEC Co-Player of the Week and a Prime Performer, as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to Cassidy's weekly honors, sophomore goalkeeper
Allie Sougaris earned her fourth Prime Performer recognition of the season after posting two wins and one shutout across a pair of matches in net for the Skyhawks.
Cassidy powered Stonehill's offensive attack throughout the week, totaling six points on three goals. She recorded her second career—and second of the season—brace in the Skyhawks' regular-season finale against Chicago State on Sunday. Earlier in the week, her tally against Le Moyne on Thursday proved to be the game-winning goal, marking her second game-winner of the year and tying senior
Hannah Anselmo for the team lead in that category.
Cassidy closed out the 2025 campaign with a career-best 14 points on six goals and two assists, ranking third in Stonehill's NCAA Division I era for single-season points. She trails only Anselmo, who recorded 29 points this fall and 22 a year ago en route to being named the 2024 NEC Offensive Player of the Year.
