PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. (March 22, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team bested Long Island University, 4-3, Saturday night at the SPORTIME tennis courts in a Northeast Conference dual match.
 
Highlights

• The Skyhawks went 2-0 on the doubles courts as the duo of senior captain Anneliese Beltran (Mexico City, Mexico) and sophomore Julie Holte (Oslo, Norway) improved to 8-0 this spring, all from the No. 1 spot.
• The freshmen tandem of Arya Chabria (Columbus, Ohio) and Lilah Shallcross (Prospect, Ky.) won their second doubles match in a row, improving to 6-3 together this spring.
• With LIU only having five active student-athletes, the match consisted of only two doubles and five singles matches.
• Stonehill went 2-3 on the singles courts highlighted by Holte winning her matchup on the first court and sophomore Alice Brito do Rio (Angra do Heroismo, Portugal) winning her matchup on the fifth court.
