CUMBERLAND, R.I. (April 13, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's tennis team closed out its regular season at ForeCourt Tennis in a non-conference matchup against Bryant University, falling to the Bulldogs, 1-6.
Highlights
- Bryant earned the first point of the match, winning all three doubles courts. The Bulldogs won the match after securing wins on five of the six singles courts.
- Sophomore Alice Brito do Rio (Angra do Heroismo, Portugal) was the lone Skyhawk to win her singles match, defeating Amy Maalouf, 6-2, 6-3.
- On the No. 1 doubles court, the pairing of junior captain Anneliese Beltran (Mexico City, Mexico) and sophomore Julie Holte (Oslo, Norway) fell in a close match against Natalia Vela and Maria Jose Hernandez Diaz, 5-7.
- The freshmen pairing of Arya Chabria (Columbus, Ohio) and Lilah Shallcross (Prospect, Ky.) also played a highly competitive double match on the third court, falling 4-6 against Lucia Pino and Nicole Isman.
- Holte dropped a close match on the first singles court to Vela, 4-6, 4-6.
- Sophomore Madison Warren (Frederick, Md.) dropped the first set of her singles match on the No. 4 court, 2-6, but rallied back in the second set, narrowly falling, 5-7.
