Five Skyhawks Earn All-NEC Honors; Coutu, Davey Named to First Team

EASTON, Mass. (April 30, 2025) – The Stonehill women's lacrosse program was well represented on the All-Northeast Conference (NEC) teams, as five Skyhawks received postseason recognition, the league announced Wednesday afternoon.

Junior standouts Natalie Coutu, Grace Murphy, and Julia Kogan were joined by senior Caroline Davey and first-year attacker Meaghan Fealy in earning All-NEC accolades. Coutu and Davey were named to the All-NEC First Team, while Murphy and Kogan earned Second Team honors. Fealy was recognized on the All-Rookie Team.

Coutu made the leap from Second Team honors last season to earn a spot among the NEC's top attackers, joining Mercyhurst's Whitley Easton (Offensive Player of the Year) and Wagner's Ella Marino as First Team selections. A six-time NEC Prime Performer, Coutu ranked second in the league in both goals (43) and total points (54), setting a career high in goals while leading the Skyhawks' potent attack. Her 10 hat tricks included six straight and nine in the final 10 regular-season contests, helping Stonehill secure the NEC's top seed and hosting rights for the conference tournament.

Coutu also earned NEC Player of the Week honors on March 24 after notching nine goals across wins over Sacred Heart and Mercyhurst. She led the team with four game-winning goals and ranked second on the squad in free-position goals (8) and attempts (15).

Davey collected the first All-NEC honor of her career with a First Team selection, anchoring the Skyhawks' defense throughout conference play. The senior from Norwood helped Stonehill limit NEC opponents to just 67 goals over nine games—the second-fewest in the conference behind only LIU (59).

Murphy earned All-NEC Second Team honors for the second straight season after an explosive offensive campaign. In just nine games, she tallied 34 goals, leading both the team and the conference in goals per game (3.78)—the highest average by an NEC player since Sacred Heart's Lydia Werlau in 2022 (4.17). The junior attacker recorded hat tricks in eight of her nine appearances, including six four-goal games. She also set a single-game career high with nine points (six goals, three assists) in a 17–8 win over No. 3 seed Wagner on March 15.

Kogan was also named to the All-NEC Second Team following a dominant season in the draw circle. Her 95 draw controls ranked second in the NEC behind Howard's Sawyer Walker. The Elmhurst, Ill. native posted three double-digit draw control performances, highlighted by a career-best 12 draws, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in a win over Sacred Heart. Kogan also found the net twice this season, scoring her first career goals against CCSU (March 26) and Le Moyne (April 19).

Fealy earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team after a consistent debut campaign. The first-year attacker scored 22 goals and added seven assists for 29 points—the highest output by a Skyhawk freshman since Emma Sullivan (42 points, 2019) and Kendall Fressle (33 points, 2019). Fealy was named NEC Rookie of the Week three times during the season.

As a team, Stonehill boasted the conference's most prolific offense with a league-leading 210 goals and ranked fourth in goals allowed (168). The Skyhawks also led the NEC in draw controls (215) for the third consecutive season since joining Division I in 2022-23. Defensively, Stonehill finished third in both ground balls (299) and caused turnovers (124).

Stonehill (10-6, 8-1 NEC), the No. 1 seed and co-champion of the NEC Regular Season for the first time in program history, opens the NEC Championship Tournament on Thursday at 4 p.m. against No. 4 seed Saint Francis. The Skyhawks and Red Flash will battle for a chance to compete in Saturday's NEC Championship game against the winner of No. 2 LIU and No. 3 Wagner.
