EASTON, Mass. (June 9, 2025) – The Stonehill College baseball team was well represented at the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-Star Game, as seniors
Max Brulport, Taylor Gaspar, and
Jack Thorbahn were selected to compete in the 50th annual showcase held on June 1 at Fitton Field, on the campus of the College of the Holy Cross.
Brulport, Gaspar, and Thorbahn suited up for Team Black and were the only representatives from Northeast Conference (NEC) institutions selected for this year's event. Their selection marks the second consecutive season Stonehill has had three players participate in the All-Star Game. Last year,
Conor Kiely '24,
Trey Ciulla-Hall '24, and
Blaine Lidsky '24 earned selections.
The NEIBA All-Star Game features 46 standout student-athletes from NCAA Divisions I, II, and III across the region.
Brulport tossed a scoreless inning of relief during the game, adding to a strong senior campaign in which he made 24 appearances out of the bullpen. The left-hander recorded a 2-2 record with one save—earned in a March 23 win over Maryland Eastern Shore—and delivered 10 scoreless outings across 29.1 innings. He finished the season with a 7.36 ERA, 1.74 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts.
Gaspar contributed offensively with an RBI double in the eighth inning, kickstarting Team Black's late surge to victory. A consistent power threat throughout the season, the senior right fielder ranked third on the team with a career-high 12 home runs and drove in 41 runs. Defensively, he was flawless in the outfield, recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 113 total chances with 111 putouts and two assists.
Thorbahn added two RBI in Team Black's 8-3 win over Team Red, capping a breakout year at the plate. The senior first baseman earned his first All-Conference recognition after leading the NEC with 16 home runs. He also ranked among the top three in the league in slugging percentage (.647), OPS (1.120), runs scored (54), and total bases (121), while hitting .326 with a career-high 61 hits, including 12 doubles. Thorbahn was named NEC Prime Performer four times and earned a spot on the NEC All-Tournament Team.
The Skyhawks concluded the 2025 regular season with a 20-30 overall record and an 18-12 mark in NEC play—earning the program's first NEC Postseason Tournament berth since its transition to Division I. Stonehill reached the 20-win mark for the first time in its Division I era and emerged as one of the top power-hitting teams in the nation. The Skyhawks finished the season with 80 home runs, ranking first in the NEC and 38th nationally.
One of the season's most memorable performances came on March 11, when Stonehill set a program record by launching 10 home runs in a single game against VMI—becoming just the third Division I program in the country to accomplish that feat in 2025.
