EASTON, Mass. (August 20, 2025) – The Stonehill women's basketball program's fourth NCAA Division I season slate and first as NCAA tournament eligible has been announced.
Following trips to both its first NEC Championship game and WNIT, the Skyhawks will play 11 non-conference games, in addition to its usual 18-game NEC slate. Under the leadership of
Trisha Brown, who is entering her 25th season, Stonehill will kick off the 2025-26 campaign with an exhibition against Bridgewater State at Paula Sullivan Court at Merkert Gymnasium on Monday, Nov. 3. The Skyhawks will then travel to Washington, D.C, to take on Georgetown of the Big East on Thursday, Nov. 6, before returning home for games against Niagara Nov. 11 and Rider Nov. 13. Following a trip to Maine Nov. 18, Stonehill will host Bryan Nov. 22 before heading into Thanksgiving break.
December tips off with a home game against Brown Dec. 3 and then a second matchup with a Big East opponent at Providence Dec. 13. After visiting Dartmouth Dec. 16, Stonehill will head to DeLand, Fla. for the Stetson Classic, where it will face Stetson and Bethune-Cookman Dec. 19-20. The Skyhawks will close out 2025 by visiting SEC member Vanderbilt Dec. 28.
Stonehill's NEC slate commences with a road game at new member New Haven Jan. 2, followed by consecutive home games against Wagner Jan. 4 and Central Connecticut State Jan. 8. After visiting Chicago State Jan. 10, the Skyhawks will host Saint Francis Jan. 15 and Merchyhurst Jan. 17. A three-game road swing starts at LIU Jan. 22, before Stonehill visits Central Connecticut State Jan. 24 and FDU Jan. 26.
On. Jan. 31, the Skyhawks will host the first of three straight at home against Le Moyne Jan. 31, followed by FDU Feb. 5 and LIU Feb. 7. Stonehill takes on Wagner in a road contest Feb. 14, and then welcomes New Haven to Easton Feb. 19. The Skyhawks close out the road portion of the schedule with visits to Le Moyne Feb. 21, Saint Francis Feb. 26 and Mercyhurst Feb. 28. Stonehill will then host Chicago State in the regular-season finale March 5, before the NEC Tournament commences with quarterfinal round play on March 9, semifinals on March 12 and the NEC Championship on March 15 all being played at the home of the higher seeded teams.
All Stonehill home games will be broadcast live on NEC Front Row - the NEC's digital broadcast platform. Tickets for the 2025-26 season, including season ticket packages, will be available at a later date.
Stonehill has earned spots in the NEC Tournament in both of its years of eligibility, extending the program's streak of postseason appearances in each year it has been eligible to do so dating back through its entire 40 years in the Northeast-10 Conference as well. The Skyhawks posted a 17-16 overall record and a 11-5 NEC mark last season before reaching the NEC Championship game and the WNIT.
