"We're excited with our schedule for the 2025-26 season. It's the most competitive and ambitious we've had as a Division I program," noted Berard. "It signals our continued growth to attract high quality opponents across five of the six Division I conferences. We're also happy to announce that we will be playing our home games at Warrior Ice Arena in Boston. This will give our alumni and fans a great venue to catch us playing some of the top teams in college hockey."
Stonehill opens the regular season with three consecutive home games, beginning with a two-game series against Lake Superior State (Oct. 4–5), followed by a single matchup against UMass (Oct. 10) at Warrior Ice Arena. The Skyhawks then hit the road for four straight games, visiting Army (Oct. 12), Sacred Heart (Oct. 18), and Penn State (Oct. 24–25) to close out the month.
November features a challenging stretch against four ECAC opponents—Dartmouth (Nov. 1), Harvard (Nov. 4), Princeton (Nov. 15), and Quinnipiac (Nov. 29)—along with a two-game series at historic Matthews Arena against Northeastern (Nov. 7–8) and a home contest against fellow NCAA Division I Independent, Alaska-Anchorage (Nov. 18).
The first half of the regular season concludes in early December as the Skyhawks travel to "The Last Frontier" for a two-game series at Alaska-Anchorage (Dec. 5–6).
The new year begins with a road series at St. Lawrence (Jan. 2–3) before the Skyhawks head to Conte Forum for an exhibition against Boston College (Jan. 9). Stonehill will then play its only game of the season at Bridgewater Ice Arena when it hosts Long Island University (Jan. 11).
January continues with road series at Lindenwood (Jan. 16–17) and Vermont (Jan. 30–31), separated by a home matchup against Brown (Jan. 24). The regular season wraps up in February with a home-heavy slate featuring seven games at Warrior Ice Arena and just two on the road.
February begins with a home matchup against Merrimack College (Feb. 3), followed by a two-game set with Lindenwood (Feb. 6–7). After four consecutive games against Long Island—two on the road (Feb. 13–14) and a pair at home (Feb. 20–21)—the Skyhawks close out the regular season with a final home contest against Simon Fraser (Feb. 27) and an exhibition against the Red Leafs on Feb. 28.
Postseason action begins March 5–7 at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Missouri, where Stonehill will compete in the United Collegiate Hockey Cup. The five-team tournament features the NCAA Division I Independent programs—Lindenwood, Alaska Fairbanks, Alaska Anchorage, Long Island, and Stonehill—and provides an opportunity to battle for a championship and elevate the national profile of independent programs.
Each team is guaranteed at least two games in the three-day event, which includes a play-in round followed by semifinals and a championship.
The Skyhawks head into 2025-26 looking to build on a milestone 2024-25 season that featured a Division I program-record 12 wins—an improvement of 10 victories from the previous year. Stonehill finished 7-7 at home, earned 10 wins over Division I opponents, and posted notable road victories at Merrimack, Lake Superior State, UMass Lowell, and LIU—setting a new program benchmark for success away from home.
