BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (September 19, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's tennis team opened competition Friday at the NateRentals.com Binghamton Tennis Championships, combining for a 7-5 record in singles and doubles action.

Sophomore Guillermo Bennaton and freshman Benjamin Beaudry each recorded two wins to pace the Skyhawks. Bennaton rallied for a hard-fought Flight A singles victory over Wagner's Lukas Escher, 6-0, 5-7, 14-12, before teaming up with senior Mark Kröll for a 6-2 doubles win against Saint Francis' Noah Potts and Beau Welker.

Beaudry notched his third singles win of the fall with a 6-4, 6-2 decision over Colm Schultz of Mercyhurst. He later partnered with sophomore Javier Gutierrez to defeat Le Moyne's Yegor Boyev and Luke Hoyland, 6-2.

In Flight A doubles, junior Jacob Borch-Nielsen and sophomore Hector Cebrian tallied their second win of the season as a tandem, edging Chicago State's Chade Valdes and Joao Teixeira, 6-4, to advance to the quarterfinals against FDU's Joshua Oboniye and Gryffin Minor.

Junior Alessandro Munoz and sophomore Nicolas Arredondo rounded out Stonehill's victories in singles play. Munoz defeated Mercyhurst's Nikola Radisic, 6-3, 6-4, while Arredondo earned a three-set win over Saint Francis' Potts, 6-1, 4-6, 10-8.
