BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Freshman
Kendra Sawyer was named the NEC/Molton Rookie of the Week announced by the League on Tuesday afternoon.
Averaging 11.10 assists per set, Sawyer guided Stonehill to a 1-1 week which included a five-set victory over New Haven on Friday evening. Against the Chargers, she notched a new Division I program record tallying 61 assists in Saturday's late afternoon contest. Sawyer finished the week with 111 assists, while also recording her fifth and sixth double-doubles of the season.
Fellow freshman
Sam Loyd also received NEC Prime Performer recognition, tallying 38 kills over two matches.
