BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (Sept. 8, 2025) – Senior forward
Shane Fonseca was named the NEC Co-Player of the Week announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Fonseca scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 shutout against Navy on Saturday afternoon. In the 36
th minute against the Midshipmen, the Framingham, Massachusetts native knocked in a rebound for his second goal of the season.
Earning his first shutout of the year, junior
Tyler Sloan joined Fonseca as a NEC Prime Performer, recording two saves in the win.
Stonehill returns to the pitch with a midweek non-conference match against Iona. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.
