KINGSTON, R.I. (Jan. 17, 2026) – The Stonehill men's track and field team returned to the track at the start of the 2026 with numerous individual best performances at the URI Invitational on Saturday.
 
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS

• Sophomore Miles Burr won the 200meter dash with a time of 22.61 – three tenths of a second ahead of Bryant's Nathan Miller.
• Senior Patrick Morin finished fifth in the 200meter dash with a time of 23.12.
• Junior Jack Dougherty (50.87) and freshman Owen Partridge (50.98) placed first and second in the 400 meters. Freshman Cam Begley was fifth with a time of 52.31.
• Freshmen Benjamin Tavares and Declan Smith posted back-to-back first and second place finishes in the 800 meters with times of 1:56.81 and 1:57.13, respectively.
• Junior Brendan Wilder won the mile with a time of 4:18.38 and highlight four Skyhawk runners to place in the top-five of the event. Sophomore Ethan Fadden (4:23.42), sophomore Connor Magill (4:25.92), and Colin Keane (4:26.87) finished third, fourth and fifth.
• Junior Dylan Brilliant surpassed a personal best time in the 3000 meters to finish first with a time of 8:32.51.
• Fellow junior Nicholas Davies finished second in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:41.41.
• Sophomore Shane Stanghellini recorded a personal best time in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:56.63.
• Junior Ian Bubar also clocked a personal best time in the 3000 meters with a a time of 9:01.21.
• Stonehill finished second in the 4x800 relay with a time of 8:13.41.
• Freshman Kieran Miller eclipsed his best mark in the long jump with a distance of 6.81.
• Junior Joe Chesney placed third in the shot put with mark of 50'3.25"
