STORRS, Conn. (March 11, 2026) – The Stonehill College equestrian team concluded its regular season this past Sunday at the UConn Doubleheader Home Show. The Skyhawks recorded 16 top three finishes and had four riders qualify for IHSA Regional Competition.
Nora Fitzgerald and
Shay Callanan led the Stonehill riders in the Blue Show, earning first-place finishes in limit flat and limit fences, respectively.
Cora Cotman placed second in both the open flat and open fences divisions, while
Elizabeth Carreiro also earned a runner-up finish in intermediate flat.
Piper Olenn and
Alyssa Douglas rounded out the Skyhawks' top three finishers in the Blue Show, placing third in intermediate fences and the novice division, respectively.
Lauren Eager,
Carissa Muller, Michaela der Kinderen, and
Nicole Irons each placed fourth in their respective events, with Irons making her debut in limit flat.
Rosalie Martin and
Jocelyn Plumpton completed the Blue Show lineup for the Skyhawks, finishing fifth in limit fences.
In the White Show, Eager led the way by being named Reserve High Point Rider after winning intermediate flat and finishing second in intermediate fences. Martin also earned a first-place blue ribbon in limit fences.
Cotman recorded a pair of top three finishes in the open division events, while Callanan and
Shannon Murray each finished second in limit fences. Muller and Douglas rounded out the Skyhawks' top three finishers in the White Show, placing in limit flat and the novice division, respectively.
Rounding out the day for the Skyhawks were der Kinderen (fourth place, introductory division), Olenn (fifth place, intermediate fences), and Irons (sixth place, limit flat).
Four Stonehill riders secured qualification for IHSA Zone 1, Region 4 competition in both the flat and fences divisions. Callanan and Martin qualified in the limit division, while Carreiro and Cotman qualified in the intermediate and open divisions, respectively.

Stonehill will return to action on Saturday, March 28, competing in the IHSA Zone 1, Region 4 Championships at Mount Holyoke in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
