PLAINVILLE, Mass. (March 28, 2026) – The Stonehill College equestrian team competed at the IHSA Zone 1, Region 4 Championships Saturday afternoon at Walnut Hill Farm.
Representing the Skyhawks were senior
Rosalie Martin, sophomore
Elizabeth Carreiro,
Shay Callanan, and first-year rider
Cora Cotman. Martin and Cotman led the way for Stonehill, each qualifying for next week's Zone 1 Championships in limit flat and the Cacchione Cup, respectively.
Cotman delivered a strong performance, earning fourth-place finishes in both open flat and fences. She also secured her spot in the Cacchione Cup after finishing the Zone 1, Region 4 Open Rider Standings with 81 points. Martin claimed a blue ribbon in limit flat to punch her ticket to Zones.
Callanan added a pair of top-five finishes in the limit division, placing third in flat and fourth in fences. Carreiro rounded out the Skyhawks' efforts in the intermediate division, finishing fourth in fences and sixth in flat.

Cotman and Martin will continue their season next weekend, competing at the IHSA Zone 1 Championships on Saturday, April 4, at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts.
