EASTON, Mass. (March 2, 2026) – Freshman midfielder Sophia Gouveia of the Stonehill women's lacrosse team has been tabbed as the NEC Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive time, the conference office announced Monday.

Gouveia, a native of North Stonington, Conn., scored a goal, assisted on another, caused three turnovers, had three draw controls and collected two ground balls at Bryant on Feb. 26.

Through five games, Gouveia is second on the team with 10 goals and third with 13 points. She also paces the team with 17 draw controls and is tied for first with nine caused turnovers.

Stonehill (2-3, 0-0 NEC) hosts New Hampshire (2-3, 0-0 America East) on Wednesday, March 4 at 3 p.m.
