EASTON, Mass. (April 13, 2026) – Senior attacker
Natalie Coutu of the Stonehill women's lacrosse team has been selected as the NEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
Coutu, a product of Brookline, N.H., was honored as the NEC Player of the Week after combining for 11 goals and five assists in the two victories. Coutu established a new career-best with eight points on six goals and two assists against Wagner before posting another eight-point performance with five goals and three assists against New Haven. She also added two ground balls and caused a turnover against the Chargers. Coutu stands first on the team with 21 assists and is second with 32 goals and 53 points.
Joining her on the weekly awards is freshman
Sophia Gouveia, the NEC Rookie of the Week, and senior
Grace Murphy, who along with Coutu, were tabbed NEC Prime Performers.
Gouveia, a native of North Stonington, Conn., also earned the award Feb. 23, March 2, March 9, March 23 and March 30.
Gouveia earned the NEC Rookie of the Week accolades after scoring a total of six goals and adding six draw controls in Stonehill's two victories last week. In the win at Wagner Wednesday, Gouveia netted two scores, caused two turnovers, had two draw controls and collected a ground ball. In the victory against New Haven, Gouveia tallied four goals, had four draw controls, caused a turnover and picked up a ground ball.
Gouveia ranks third on the Skyhawks with 31 goals and 36 points and is first with 75 draw controls.
Murphy, who hails from Kearsarge, N.H., received Prime Performer honors after scoring a total of 10 goals and handing out three assists in the two wins last week, Murphy had five goals and a ground ball against Wagner, before scording five more times with three assists against New Haven. Murphy paces Stonehill with 51 goals and 62 points.
