EASTON, Mass. (June 29, 2026) – Recent graduate
Lily Barrett of the Stonehill College women's hockey team has signed a professional contract with AIK of Sweden's NDHL, as announced by the club.
"Lil B has been a staple on the back end for the Skyhawks during her time with the program," said head coach
Lee-J Mirasolo. "Her feet, deception, and playmaking ability will serve her and her team well in Sweden. We're excited to cheer her on in her next chapter!"
A fixture on the blue line throughout her four-year career in the Purple and White, Barrett appeared in 141 games for the Skyhawks, totaling 30 points on six goals and 24 assists. The Little Canada, Minnesota, native ranks third among Stonehill defenders in program history with 30 career points. She also recorded 113 career blocked shots and earned NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week honors during her junior season.
Barrett joins an AIK squad that finished the 2025-26 season with an 8-3-0-1 record, placing second in the Eastern Division of the NDHL. She will also reunite with former Stonehill captain
Josie Mendeszoon '25, who appeared in 20 games for AIK last season and recorded 13 assists.
