EASTON, Mass. (August 27, 2026) – Stonehill College women's hockey head coach Lee-J Mirasolo has announced the program's leadership group for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Senior Makenna Slocum and junior Alexsa Caron will wear the "C" for the first time in their respective careers, while senior Peyton Wise will serve as an assistant captain for her final season donning the purple and white.

Slocum enjoyed a career year a season ago, recording 12 points on seven goals and five assists while leading the team with five power-play goals. The Ajax, Ontario native has appeared in 114 games throughout her first three seasons with the Skyhawks, totaling 20 points on 11 goals and nine assists.

Caron, a junior netminder, becomes the first Skyhawk goaltender to serve in the program's leadership group. Caron posted a 3.51 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage to go along with nine wins and two shutouts during the 2025-26 season. She currently ranks second in program history with six career shutouts and sits just 63 saves shy of the program's all-time record of 1,767 career saves.

Wise, who will serve as the team's assistant captain, is coming off a 2025-26 campaign in which she posted a career-best 13 points on five goals and eight assists. Her consistency on the ice was also evident, as she finished the season with a team-best +13 on-ice rating. The Ajax, Ontario native has appeared in 114 games throughout her career, totaling 32 points on 13 goals and 19 assists.

Stonehill opens its 2026-27 season with an exhibition against Merrimack on Saturday, September 19, before kicking off regular-season action with a two-game weekend trip to Syracuse beginning Friday, September 25 at 6 p.m.
