- The Stonehill women's tennis team continued
their impressive play Sunday, winning their 12th
straight, this one a 9-0 decision against St. Anselm, and in the
process improved to 15-2 and a perfect 11-0 in NE-10 play.
The Skyhawks swept all three doubles matches, winning 9-7, 8-1,
8-1.
In singles play No. 1 singles Lindsey Herchel (Hampden, Mass.)
was the only player to go to three sets, winning 0-6, 6-4, 6-0.
Freshmen Amy Toegemann (Narragansett, R.I.),
Leah White (East Walpole, Mass.) and Sarah
Hickey (Lee, Mass.) all won in straight sets, while
sophomores Caitlin Ryan (Medfield, Mass.) and
Emily Broderick (Middlebury, Conn.) did the same.
Stonehill returns to action on Thursday when they play their last
conference match of the season, traveling to Syracuse to play Le
Moyne.
