Ringstad leads four double-winners for the Skyhawks

Sophomore Eric Ringstad (Fairbanks, Alaska/Monroe Catholic) led four double-winners for Stonehill with victories at No. 1 singles and doubles. He combined with classmate Thomas Alaimo (North Andover, Mass./Central Catholic) for an 8-4 doubles victory and then rolled to a 6-0, 6-2 win over junior Evan Ross. Alaimo also posted a 6-3, 6-1 decision over freshman Michael Dolph.

Freshman Philip Klados (Lake Forest, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) teamed up with junior Nick Hyzak (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) for an 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles and then posted a 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles over sophomore Just Warshavsky. Junior Brett Armstrong (Manville, R.I./Mount Saint Charles Academy) rounded out the double-winners for Stonehill, teaming up with senior Chris Martin (Darien, Conn./Darien) for an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles before claiming a 6-0, 6-2 decision over junior Andrew Zurheide at No. 5 singles.

Sophomore Jared Drzal (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) also picked up a point for Stonehill with a 7-5, 6-1 win over sophomore Corbin Tulley at No. 6 singles.

Sophomore Timothy Forance claimed the lone point for Endicott by rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 10-4 triumph over Hyzak at No. 4 singles.

Stonehill (6-0, 3-0 NE-10) will close out its fall season this weekend as it hosts its Stonehill Invitational at Watt Courts on Saturday and Sunday, featuring eight teams including the Skyhawks. Endicott (0-2, 0-0 CCC) is now off for the semester.
