EASTON, Mass. (April 26, 2023)- Trey Ciulla-Hall career-tying four RBIs led the Stonehill College baseball team to an 8-4 win over Mitchell College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action.

Standout Performances

Key Moments

  • After both squads went scoreless for the first two innings, Stonehill exploded for six runs in the bottom of the third led by Ciulla-Hall's bases-clearing three-RBI double that made it 4-0. In the next at-bat, Blaine Lidsky ripped an RBI double to center that allowed Ciulla-Hall to cross the plate and make it 5-0 Skyhawks. Later in the inning, Mike Swanholm drove in the sixth run on a sacrifice fly.
  • From there, Stonehill starter, Max Brulport continued to pitch well for the Purple and White as he did not allow a run for the next two innings and allowed just two base runners in that span. Two innings later in the seventh, Stonehill tacked on two more runs which increased its lead to eight (8-0). Ciulla-Hall once again delivered for the Skyhawks as the junior drove in the first run on an RBI double to deep left-center that allowed Sam Parks to score after he walked to lead off the inning. After Lidsky reached on a fielders choice in the next at-bat, Roberti drove him in when he had an RBI double of his own.
  • Mitchell chipped away at the deficit in the eighth after Angel Galindez capitalized on a wild pitch which made it 8-1. The Mariners continued their momentum in the ninth as the visitors trimmed the Stonehill lead down to four after scoring three runs in the frame. Justin Adorno took advantage of another wild pitch and in the same at-bat, Galindez brought home the other two runners on base which then made it 8-4. Despite the late push, Jack Iannibelli shut down the Mariners rally when he induced a pop-up to short for the win.
