EASTON, Mass. (February 10, 2026) – The Stonehill College baseball team saw a trio of juniors earn preseason recognition from Perfect Game, as
Nathan Kearney,
Ryan LeClair, and
Dylan McCarthy were named to the outlet's Preseason All-Conference selections. Kearney headlined Perfect Game's NEC Preview after being tabbed the NEC Preseason Rookie of the Year, while LeClair and McCarthy each earned spots on the Preseason All-NEC Team.
Kearney, who has battled injuries throughout his first two seasons at Stonehill, has appeared in nine career games for the Skyhawks, totaling 27 at-bats. In limited action, he has recorded five hits, one run scored, one RBI, and two walks, and enters 2026 poised to make an impact with a healthy campaign.
LeClair, a 2025 All-NEC Second Team selection, enjoyed a breakout season last spring, posting career highs across nearly every offensive category. The junior hit .282 with 44 runs, 46 hits, 11 doubles, three home runs, and 34 RBI, while drawing 26 walks, being hit by a pitch 16 times, and swiping 16 bases. He returns as Stonehill's top conference hitter from a year ago, batting .326 with a .967 OPS over 30 NEC games.
McCarthy enters his first season in Purple and White after transferring from George Mason University. With the Patriots, the right-hander appeared in three games, tossing 3.0 innings and recording one strikeout. He adds depth and power to a Stonehill starting rotation that returns key arms, including senior
Jimmy Gilleran and sophomore
Hunter Bell.
Stonehill opens its 2026 season this weekend, traveling to Texas A&M–Corpus Christi for a four-game series beginning Friday, February 13, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
