EASTON, Mass. (October 20, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's soccer duo of senior
Hannah Anselmo and first-year
Dani Lomuscio have earned NEC Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to the pair's major weekly awards, Anselmo, sophomore
Allie Sougaris, and sophomore
Martha Lord were each recognized as NEC Prime Performers for their efforts in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks.
Anselmo led the Stonehill attack, scoring four goals across two matches to bring her season total to 13 — a mark that leads the NEC and ranks among the top 10 nationally. The senior forward score twice in Thursday's 3-0 win over Delaware State before adding two more game-tying strikes in Sunday's 3-2 comeback victory at Mercyhurst, marking her fifth multi-goal performance of the season.
Lomuscio delivered her second career multi-point outing in the win over Delaware State, assisting on both of Anselmo's goals. The two helpers moved her into a tie with junior
Annie Renz for the team lead with four assists on the year.
Lord provided the decisive moment in Sunday's win at Mercyhurst, netting her first goal of the season — and second career game-winner — to complete the Skyhawks' rally.
Between the posts, Sougaris anchored the defensive unit with back-to-back victories, highlighted by her third clean sheet of the season and second consecutive shutout in Thursday's triumph over Delaware State. The sophomore totaled three saves across both matches, improving her season total to 54 — fifth-best in the NEC.
Stonehill (4-8-3, 4-3-1 NEC) returns to action on Sunday, October 26, hosting NEC foe Central Connecticut State at WB Mason Stadium at 1 PM.
