WINTHROP, Mass. (December 2, 2025) – Senior forward
Gracie Sacca of the Stonehill College women's hockey team has been named the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
The honor marks Sacca's second Player of the Week accolade of her collegiate career and her first since her rookie season, when she earned the award on October 11, 2022, following a two-goal weekend against Post.
Sacca delivered a standout performance against top-ranked Wisconsin on November 30 in Nashville, assisting on junior
Peyton Wise's second goal of the season before finding the back of the net herself in the third period. Her two-point effort helped the Skyhawks become one of just six teams nationwide to score at least two goals against the Badgers this season.
Stonehill (6-9-1, 6-5-1 NEWHA) returns to action next weekend, traveling to South Burlington, Vermont, for a two-game NEWHA series against Saint Michael's College. Puck drop for Friday's opener at Cairns Arena is set for 7:20 PM.
