WINTRHOP, Mass. (March 5, 2026) – Four members of the Stonehill College women's hockey team have received NEWHA All-League honors, the conference announced Thursday.
Senior
Maddi Achtyl and sophomore
Reagan Whynot were named to the Second Team, while first-year forward
Summer Combe earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Junior
Makenna Slocum was recognized on the All-Sportswomanship Team for the second consecutive year.
Achtyl, a native of Lancaster, N.Y., appeared in all 37 games, registering a career-high 26 points on 18 goals and eight assists. Her 18 goals ranked second in the NEWHA, and her five game-winning goals tied for 14th nationally, marking the most in a single season by a Skyhawk since Alexis Petford recorded five during the 2023-24 season.
Whynot, a two-time NEWHA Defensive Player of the Week, set a single-season program record for a defender with 24 points, including nine goals and 15 assists. She contributed four power-play goals, 44 blocked shots, and a +4 on-ice rating over the course of the season.
Combe, from York, Maine, also appeared in all 37 games, leading all Skyhawk rookies with 15 points, including 10 goals and five assists. She played a key role in Stonehill's two-game sweep of LIU in the NEWHA Quarterfinals, scoring the game-winning goal on Friday, February 27, and following up with her first career multi-point game, including an assist on the overtime winner, on Saturday, February 28.
Slocum enjoyed a breakout offensive season, recording 12 points on seven goals and five assists. She led the team with five power-play goals, a mark that ranked among the top 25 nationally and represented the most by a Skyhawk since Achtyl recorded five in the 2024-25 season.
