EASTON, Mass. (September 28, 2026) – Junior goalkeeper Allie Sougaris of the Stonehill College women's soccer team has been named the NEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

In addition to earning Co-Defensive Player of the Week honors, Sougaris was named an NEC Prime Performer for the second consecutive week, while sophomore Dani Lomuscio earned her first NEC Prime Performer recognition of the season.

Sougaris picked up her second win and second shutout of the season with a three-save performance against NEC opponent New Haven on Thursday night. In conference play, she ranks third with a 0.35 goals-against average, second with two shutouts, and third with 13 saves.

Lomuscio earned NEC Prime Performer recognition after registering a goal and an assist in the Skyhawks' 3-0 victory over the Chargers on Thursday. Her goal proved to be the eventual game-winning tally, while her assist set up freshman Allyson Cullingford for her first collegiate goal.

Stonehill (2-5-4, 2-1-0 NEC) returns to action on Thursday, October 1, hosting Le Moyne at Skyhawk Field at 1 p.m.
