Paul Sincero of Bristol, R.I., may have been aman ahead of his time. A forward on those early Stonehill teams(1950s), Paul was a scorer when scoring was a rarity. He becameStonehill’s first 1,000-point scorer --  there are now19 members. Paul finished his career with 1,366 points. Boston RedSox General Manager Lou Gorman who was also from Rhode Island and ateammate of Sincero, said of the inductee: “Paul helped usbuild credibility as a college so we could compete with establishedcolleges. Paul helped us develop a sense of pride. If we had to wina game, we gave the ball to Paul.” Using his one-hand setshot style, Sincero scored 20 points in a 64-58 victory over BryantCollege and had 22 points in a 69-62 loss to St. Anselm College.
