Ginny McCauley, who helped bring the Skyhawks women’s lacrosse program from club to varsity status, played a major role in the early success of Head Coach Michael Daly’s squad as a two-time IWLCA All-America selection in goal. A two-time all-Northeast-10 selection as well, McCauley Knapp posted a 26-4 mark in net with a 6.93 goals against average, making 410 saves for a .671 saves percentage in 30 career matches. In its first varsity season of 1999, Stonehill captured the inaugural Northeast-10 regular season title while advancing to both the conference tournament championship against Saint Michael’s and the ECAC Division II title matchup against Gannon, and during her senior season of 200, McCauley Knapp helped lead the Skyhawks to a 15-1 overall record, their second straight Northeast-10 regular season crown and a victory over rival Bentley in the conference championship match.
