Henry Jackson was a smooth point guard who led theChieftains in the early 1970s when Stonehill made the NCAATournament back-to-back in 1972 and ’73. He was a 1,090-pointscorer and outstanding passer and defensive player. His career-highgame was a 36-point effort in a win over Adelphi. His quick handsand defensive talents led to a memorable moment when he stole aninbounds pass against Saint Michael’s College and scored tojust beat the buzzer and win the game. Hank graduated in 1973 witha degree in accounting. The nine years prior to his induction, hewas the comptroller at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Healso operated his own CPA firm and is a certified public accountantin Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Hank and his wife, Deborah,reside in McLean, VA. With their three children, Kelley, Justin,and Brandon, whom he coached in the McLean Youth League.
